All I Want To Do Is Travel Around The World
For me, it’s all about one thing, travel. And not just the casual weekend getaway, but the full-on, life-altering, every-corner-of-the-world kind of travel. I’ve got this weirdly specific goal, too, Japan. I can’t really explain why, but I know I want to set foot there at least once before I die.
That urge to explore, to see places so different from what I know—it’s something I can’t shake off. Maybe it’s the idea of seeing the world beyond a screen or maybe it’s that hunger to gather stories. Writing about it would be a bonus, but honestly, I’d love to just go for the experience. Whether it’s a solo trip, a business gig, or some spontaneous road trip across countries, I just want to be on the move, feeling that hum of a place as it pulls you in.
And it’s not just about getting from point A to point B. I picture everything from cross-country motorcycle rides to train journeys—experiences that push you out of your comfort zone, forcing you to see things in new ways. There’s a kind of education in travel that nothing else really matches. Meeting new people, absorbing the culture, letting myself get lost in the streets of a city halfway across the world.
I think that’s why I’m not too interested in a “base” or some permanent home. For me, success would look like having the freedom to roam without being tied down. One month in Kenya, the next in Portugal, and maybe after that, Indonesia. That kind of life, moving from place to place, feels like my ultimate dream life.
A life like that takes work and patience. These years right now? I see them as building blocks—those foundation years where I put in the hours, make the sacrifices, and slowly inch closer to that life.
I don’t know exactly when it will happen, but it will. One day, I’ll get there.
